This image was painted on location standing near the top of the cliffs near a Japanese fising shrine along the winding Highway between Hanauma Bay and Sandy Beach, O`ahu. It was an extremely warm and humid "Kona" day with calm seas breaking against the rocks. Two fishermen working the deep water just off shore, with the Palea and Pai`olu`olu Points, the two that embrace Hanauma Bay in the distance. Oil on panel unmounted 13.5 x 12 x 1.75 in.
